Susan May Pratt, who played Maureen, had a bit of acting experience before Center Stage and zero dance background, I think. I thought she was pretty good too, and pretty good at faking the ballet. She had the look for it, at least.

Heh, now I kinda want to re-watch!

I love her in that movie (well, and every other movie I've ever seen her in, to be fair)
