Ooh, poor Andromeda. I like the depth you've given the Noble and Most Ancient House here, with some character development for Arcturus as well as Alphard.

Out of curiosity, is there any particular reason why kinslaying is Not Recommended in your world? (Besides the obvious, of course?)
