I've heard from a substantial number of people who say that they're going on holiday with their families for the next few weeks, or moving to college, and so on.

Now, I don't want this to be a burden or stressor for anyone. So I tell you what I'll do...I'll extend the deadline.

The new deadline is now Friday, September 15th. That'll give you time to go on vacation and prepare for college and do whatever you need to do, and still have time left over to write the story.

Sound fair?

I actually have a decent amount written, but writing with a toddler and an infant is even harder than I thought it would be, and there was no way I was going to get it done - much less through beta - by the original deadline.

You can archive it now, if you want to. Posting's been allowed since July 31st. I've just extended the deadline, that's all.

We're allowed to post the fics elsewhere other than here, though? I thought we had to wait until the posting period was done.

You can post it now, if it's done. The deadline is just the last day that you CAN post.

As for posting the fics elsewhere...yes, I did want them to be solely in this LJ at least until the last day of posting, but several people seem to have posted elsewhere already. Sigh.

I'm not sure about my course of action for this.
