Summary: Perhaps it was one the great ironies of Montalais' life; she was never weak enough to be powerful. Still, one last try.
Author's Notes: Aside from the prompt, all quotes belong to Dumas. Also, props to my hubby for the editing job; it's HARD to find a beta in this fandom!
