He would rage, possibly, or write it off, or - like the worst of self-fulfilling prophecies - attemtp to stop it happening in such a way that causes it. Because can you actually change the future (even if you can't change prophecies)?

I'm annoyed about that in fandom, actually, because the prophecy wasn't a fake and did come true...
