The concept of this fic was very loosely inspired by the stories of Daphne and Metis from Greek mythology. It is one possible version of Peg Powell’s story, and may not make much sense if you haven’t read the book. The style and structure are both a bit experimental; all feedback and constructive criticism is welcomed and cherished.
