Very nice, and a good sense of imminent disaster as Voldemort commences picking apart the wizarding world. I thought that Hermione was a bit of a coward though, in not being able to face her parents, and fleeing from them instead. Bit cruel too, since they don't have a *clue* as to why she abandoned them. You'd think Hermione would have written them a letter or something.

Still, that's a minor nitpick; the story works well and uses Hermione wonderfully to set the stage for the Trio's forthcoming horcrux hunt. Thanks for the story!
